Privacy Policy

Every website needs a Privacy Policy — it’s what lets visitors know what kind of data you collect, how you use it, and how you keep it safe. It’s also a legal requirement in many places (so yes, it’s important, even if we’d rather be doing something fun and creative).

What you’ll find here is a legal template you can use and adapt to create your own Privacy Policy. But — and this is important — you’ll need to edit it to reflect how YOU run your business.

Anything in square brackets [like this] is meant to be replaced with information specific to you. Be sure to swap that out!

In some places, you’ll see optional clauses (like "choose this or that" kind of thing). Don’t delete the whole section — just pick the part that fits how you operate and remove what doesn’t.

A few important things to note:

  • You’re getting a license to use this for your own business only. Please don’t share, resell, or copy this to give to others.

  • All intellectual property rights, including copyright, are reserved. This is for you — and just you — to use for YOUR site.

Also, real talk:

While this template has been prepared by a qualified solicitor, and can be used internationally, it’s still a guide — not a substitute for proper legal advice. Every business is different, and privacy laws vary depending on where you (and your clients) are located.

So if you’re unsure, or you want to make sure you’re fully covered, I always recommend chatting with a lawyer in your own country or state.
